Transfer money among family members in seconds, but don’t worry: Red Giant cards are locked when not in use, so a lost card doesn’t mean lost money. Are you age 13-18? No problem - you can get your own card*, just ask your parents to sign up and sponsor you. Parent? Set up the Family Plan and receive alerts and on-screen receipts for transactions on all family cards.
The Red Giant Family Plan allows you to link Red Giant accounts for up to four family members. Parents can sponsor Red Giant accounts and cards for their children age 13 and older, with peace of mind that the cards are under control and the funds are protected if the cards are lost or stolen.
Parents have full visibility into activity on Sponsored Accounts and the Sponsored Account holders are given information and control in-app that gives them independence and helps them develop sound financial habits.
Using the Red Giant mobile application, you unlock your Red Giant card when you want to make a purchase. When you leave the area, Red Giant locks your card so no one else can use it.
Every purchase comes with a receipt on-screen which you can use to categorize your expenses and make notes about your transaction. Plus, you always know your balance and where you stand compared to your spending targets.
Red Giant also gives you Red Giant Digital cards - virtual cards presented securely on screen for use on-line - so you no longer have to use your physical card when shopping on-line.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Red Giant takes steps to mitigate this issue, such as using geofences in the background rather than continuously requesting GPS location updates and not using location updates in the background if no cards are unlocked, but location use by any application can impact battery life.
